If to believe the cooks, it is not a dish, but a vegetarian delight. The dish is totally prepared in 35 minutes.

For the dish one needs:

  • drained and rinsed black beans (1 can)
  • green bell pepper (1/2)
  • cut into wedges onion (1/2)
  • peeled cloves garlic (3)
  • egg (1)
  • chili powder (1 tb.sp.)
  • cumin (1 tb. sp.)
  • Hot sauce or Thai sauce (1 t. sp.)
  • bread crumbs (1/2 cup)

The preparation procedure includes the following steps: The dish may be prepared either on the outdoor grill or be baked in the oven. In the first case, the grill should be preheated for the high heat. The dish is going to be prepared on the lightly oiled sheet of aluminum foil. Being baked, it requires heating the oven to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F and oiling of the baking sheet. Black beans are mashed with the help of fork till they become thick and pasty. With the help of food processor bell pepper, onion and garlic are chopped and later stirred into mashed beans. Chili powder, egg, cumin, and chili sauce are stirred in small bowl and added to the mashed beans. Bread crumbs are mixed in till the time the mixture becomes sticky and thick. The whole volume is divided into four patties each side of which is grilled on foil for about 8 minutes or baked on the baking sheet for about 10 minutes.

Red Lentil Curry is the next in the list.

It is a rich lentil curry, which easily may be called main meal that seems similar to Indian dhal. The dish is easily prepared and perfectly served with rice.

Among the ingredients are:

  • red lentils (2 cups)
  • large diced onion (1)
  • vegetable oil (1 tb. sp.)
  • curry paste (2 tb. sp.)
  • curry powder (1 tb. sp.)
  • ground turmeric (1 t. sp.)
  • chili powder (1 t. sp.)
  • salt (1 t. sp.)
  • white sugar (1 t. sp.)
  • minced garlic (1 t. sp.)
  • minced ginger root (1 t. sp.)
  • tomato puree (1 can)

The lentils should be washed in cold water until the water is clear. Otherwise, the lentils are left scummy. Clean lentils are put in a water full pot and left covered till they get tender. At the exactly same time the onion should be caramelized in vegetable oil in any saucepan or skillet. While the onions are cooking and the lentils are boiling, the curry paste, curry powder, turmeric, cumin, chili powder, salt, sugar, garlic and ginger are all well mixed in the bowl. The cooked onions are mixed with the curry mixture and are further cooked for 1 or 2 minutes over a high heat, being constantly stirred. After it is stirred into tomato puree, the heat is reduced and the curry base is allowed to simmer until the exact moment of lentils getting ready. Finally, tender lentils are mixed with the curry base and immediately served to the guests.

Black Beans and Rice is the meal that is certainly called perfect one!

Easy in its ingredients and preparation, the dish tastes good.

It requires:

  • olive oil (1 t. sp.)
  • chopped onion (1)
  • minced cloves garlic (2)
  • uncooked white rice (3/4 cup)
  • low sodium, low fat vegetable broth (1 ½ cups)
  • ground cumin (1 t. sp.)
  • cayenne pepper (1/4 t. sp.)
  • drained canned black beans (3 ½ cups)

The oil is heated in the stockpot over the medium-high heat. Onion, garlic and sauté are added for 4 minutes, after what sauté and the rice are added for 2 minutes. The final stage is vegetable broth adding and boiling. In the covered pot the dish is left over the lower heat for 20 minutes. The beans and spices are added only when the dish is completely ready.

Yakisoba Chicken is the food that one CAN NOT not enjoy!

Ingredients necessary for the dish are:

  • sesame oil (1/2 t. sp.)
  • canola oil (1 tb. sp.)
  • chile paste (2 tb. sp.)
  • chopped cloves garlic (2)
  • skinless, boneless, cut into 1 inch cubes chicken breast halves (4)
  • soy sauce (1/2)
  • sliced lengthwise onion (1)
  • coarsely chopped cabbage (1/2 medium head)
  • coarsely chopped carrot (2)
  • cooked and drained soba noodles (8 ounces)

Sesame oil, canola oil and chili paste are mixed in a large skillet and fried for 30 seconds. Later, garlic is added and the dish is further stirred for 30 seconds. Soy sauce and chicken are added and stirred fry until the meat of the chicken changes the colour of its meat. The mixture should be removed from the pan, set aside and kept in the warm condition. Onion, cabbage and carrots are combined in a pan and stirred till the time cabbage begins to wilt. The remaining sauce and the chicken mixture are combined to be blended and served.
